Off-Side Undo - January 22, 2007

Archestratus Café and Grill in Clinton, Mississippi, again hosted the yearly kickoff for the EMC and what a send off into the new year. Nineteen members made the gathering this year which was a great turnout. The group got a lot of business covered including the naming of a couple of new officers which was top of the list as we move into 2007. We also re-assigned responsibilities of the secretary/treasurer position.

Two new members from 2006 joined this year’s party - Royce Boyer (‘68 Sunbeam Tiger) and Walter Mashburn (‘60 Triumph TR3A). Also joining us was our first new member of 2007 Doug McAdams. Doug is from the Kosciusko area and joins the EMC with a couple of MGB’s. Several additions were made to the calendar of local and far away interest. If you need additional information, please contact the person listed.

Here are the changes to the list of officials for 2007:

Clay Johnston / Secretary

Responsibilities: Membership / mailing list / membership mail outs / mail outs for Brits By The River.

Barbara Cashman / Treasurer

Responsibilities: Collections of membership dues / checking / savings accounts maintenance contact with the British Marque / payment to VTR for insurance.

Barry Schmidt / Club Inventory Manager

Responsibilities: Collection and maintenance of car show goodie bag / door prize items and banners.

Thanks to those that have made the commitment to ensure that these duties are carried on.

DUES ARE DUE NOW

Mail your $25.00 check for 2007 dues to Barbara Cashman, 237 McAuley, Vicksburg MS 39183. We ended 2006 with 64 members. We’d like to keep our group growing in 2007. Please get your payment in as early as possible. Again in 2007 the British Marque is included along with all the fun and frolic that you’d hope to have in your LBC.

During November - December 2006 we added the following members by mail-in: Bob Hirko from Brandon joined as did Ronnie and Diane Coleman of Batesville. Ronnie and Diane are owners of a 1951 MGTD. I’m checking on Bob’s ride. Welcome into the EMC folks, we look forward to seeing you at upcoming EMC gatherings.
