Down By The River
The EMC was blessed with another
great turnout under sunny skies for
the 10th annual Brit’s By The River
for 2007. Held for the 5th year with
the Jim Bowie Festival in Vidalia
La. a great crowd of participants
and onlookers gathered on the banks
of the Mississippi River.
Friday night’s hospitality gathering
drew a large and lively crowd for
the beginning of the fall car show
tour for our area British Car Clubs.
Folks from as far away as Texas and
Florida making the trip in for the
festivities.
Under sunny skies, forty-eight cars
were on the show grounds for the
show with some great examples of
Triumph, Austin Healey, Lotus, MG
and even a Marcos appearing.
Yes, again the action was hot with
everyone migrating to the more
shaded area for a respite from the
mid-day sun. Everyone enjoyed the
awards presentations...and the
shade. The "what is it" award for
2007 went to Bill Silhan.
Saturday all done, everyone turned
in for some rest and another
gathering out on the veranda on the
river bank in preparation of the
drive home on Sunday and looking
forward to next years show.
A special thanks to everyone in the
EMC that made the 2007 show one of
our best and those that came in to
join us in the fun.

OCTOBER 20, 2007 - Tech Session III
/ Ridgeland MS
Change number 1 for the remainder of
the year. Martha is still working on
the menu for the gathering so be
sure that you bring something for a
side. As always the Colonel will be
fine with us. I’ll find a project in
the garage if noting more than
sweeping. Wrenching begins at
11:00am, lunch break about 12:00pm.

DECEMBER 1, 2007 - EMC Christmas
Party / Vicksburg MS
Make plans to kick-off the 2007
holiday season with the EMC. As
always expect a great time in the
garages of Pat and Barbara and all
the members of the EMC. Bring a dish
and have a wonderful time to close
out the 2007 season. Starting time
