The English Motoring Club had a great turnout for
our 8th annual show, Brits by the River
held in Vidalia LA on September 24-25, 2004.
Friday night arrivals had a great time at the eatery
next door to the hotel, Lorraine's. A few arrivals
had to dodge liquid weather but made it to Vidalia
safe.
Saturday morning we started bright and early with 40
cars taking part in the Cruise of Vidalia arriving
at the show area along the banks of the Mississippi
River.
A great showing of 45 cars had registered by
show time so we had a cross section of makes and
models for everyone to enjoy.
This years show was held in conjunction with the
Jim Bowie Festival and Bar-b-que dual.
A large crowd was on hand for the festival and a
majority made it thru our show site. Everyone
had a great time conversing with the festival
goers and we look forward to seeing them again
next year.

The hard luck award went to Allen Bradley for
various miss starts on his way to the show and
Tom Warren was awarded 1st place in the Lorry

recognized in our area as an asset to all
gatherings he makes. He promises he'll have his
MG, the factory recognized model ready for next
years show.
Thanks to everyone that joined us to make our
2004 show a success and we look forward to
