January 20, 2018 - EMC 2017 Awards & 2018 Kick-Off / Florence MS - Make plans now to attend the start of the English Motoring Clubs 2018 season. We'll have a look back and share a chuckle about the times and places of 2017. Sir Woody Chuck-alot will make an appearance so come with your traveling awards from prior years to recognized 2017. Don't forget that new awards are always welcome! We'll be setting out the 2018 schedule of events so bring your suggestions. February 17, 2018 – EMC Tech Session / Vicksburg MS - The EMC starts out 2018 with a tech visit to the garage of Pat and Barbara Cashman. Pat usually had project up his sleeve so make plans to attend. The party's always fun. Bring a dish and join the wrenching at 11:00am and lunch at 12:00pm. March 17, 2018 – EMC Tops Down / Rocky Springs MS - For 2018 the EMC will be meet up down in Rocky Springs for with a hope of an early spring and a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day so you might consider wearing a wee bit of green to avoid a pinch. March 23 - 24, 2018 – New Orleans British Car Day / New Orleans LA - Get your registration in early for the 28th annual BMCNO British Car Day. The BMCNO has promised another great show in the Big Easy so have your bags packed and ready to go. Travelers from Jackson area can give me a ring. March 31, 2018 – EMC Drive / The Saturday Turn-Around / Pineville MS - Charlie During and Steve Whitlow will be the leaders of the pack. Steve will lead the travelers from the Shell Station on Hwy 49 South in Florence MS with a departure time of 9:00am. We'll make a rest stop at the Love's Truck Stop on Hwy 49 North in Magee before heading to the back roads over to Pineville Store our lunch stop. Don't let anyone tell you that all of the roads in South MS are sub-par, these definitely aren't. Cinch up the belts and join us. A head count for lunch is requested. April 6 - 7, 2018 – Natchez Euro Fest / Natchez MS – Ring leader extraordinaire Mike Marsh has put together an outing for lovers of everything automotive. April 20 - 21, 2018 - Brits on the Bay / Pensacola FL - For the 26nd annual show they’ll fill the field with friends, fun and automobiles. Make plans to attend a great weekend this time promised to be in the sun. Travel down to Pensacola with the EMC to join us for this yearly migration to sunny Florida. May 19, 2018 - Drive Thru History / Hattiesburg MS- A re-vamped DTH has been set up for 2018. We'll depart from the Shell Station in Florence MS (410 E. Main St) at 9:30am and travel down the back roads picking up additional participates in route to lunch at Leatha's BBQ in Hattiesburg MS (6347 US- 98) and perhaps just kick around the Hub City looking for fun and interesting places. July 21, 2018 – EMC Lotus Weekend / Braxton MS - I’m sure we'll find some interesting roads on our way down to the beautiful burg of Braxton. August 18, 2018 – EMC Garage and Food Tour / Brandon MS - David and Jo Ann have a way of throwing a great party in lead up to the EMC show. September (check for dates), 2018 – Shoals British Car Show / Florence AL - If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting the Shoals British Car Show at Joe Wheeler State Park in Florence AL you should. This show will be celebrating the 22nd gathering. It's a laid back gathering on the banks of Wheeler Lake. Everything including rooms, meals and Friday night’s reception are within walking distance. October 12 - 13, 2018 – Renaissance Euro Fest Car Show / Ridgeland MS – Come to Ridgeland Mississippi and enjoy the 10th Annual Renaissance Car Fest. The 2017 event was one to remember. Lots of participation from EMC members as well as friends from surrounding clubs will be the order again for 2018. When posted get your entry in early and make plans to attend. October 26 - 27, 2018 – South Alabama British Car Festival / Fairhope AL - It’s a nice drive down to Fairhope AL so join the caravan to the lovely city by Mobile Bay. November 3, 2018 – EMC Drive to the Soule Live Steam Fest / Meridian MS - Been a couple of years since the EMC has traveled over to the Queen City to visit the Mississippi Industrial Museum so by popular demand we've inserted the Steam Fest in and bumped the Tech Session in Ridgeland down the calendar by one weekend. There will be a street car show and contacts with the organizers have indicated there will be more room available for parking this year. Soooo...if you're interested in a nice fall drive make plans.
